You may have heard that Bedlam 2009 is a family friendly event. This is to allow as many people as possible to attend.

No need to panic though, there will be a family camping area away from any areas that may produce noise in the evening if you want to use them or you can camp in the main area if you wish.

To ensure that everyone is catered for there will be adult only and family sessions that will allow you to either get away from your children or spend time with them depending on how you organise your day.

There will also be sessions where, if you have young children, you can leave them to do activities aim at their age group so that you are free to take part in the adult only sessions.

There will be an area devoted to old school Scouting which will include activites such as firelighting, backwoods cooking and knot tying.

This will give people who haven't had any experience of this side of scouting a chance to get stuck in and learn new skills.
